Clarity in Compliance,

Confidence in Constuction

We bring clarity and synergy to design, construction and energy compliance.

Launched by industry expert Ian Fry in 2008, Frys Energywise has been dedicated to making energy assessments easier for Australia’s building and construction sectors. Relaunched in 2025 as Redistar, the company continues to specialise in energy efficiency, thermal comfort, and sustainability compliance.

Yet our aim now is even more driven to empower builders, property developers and architects to navigate the increasingly complex regulations that govern our industry. Redistar delivers reliable and accurate assessments that reduce the risk of costly compliance issues or underperforming solutions. With the recently mandated 7-Star energy rating, our expertise is needed now, more than ever before.

Our journey from Frys Energywise to Redistar.

Improving delivery times across each build’s timeline.

Design-driven, including siting and climate specificity.

Environmentally positive to create great outcomes.

Reducing building design and construction costs.

What Redistar stands for.

After listening to builders and architects, Redistar has formulated our approach and developed technology-driven processes that address the key issues in our industry. The ‘Redi’ part of our new name stands for the following four priorities:

Why Redistar?

Redistar is a leading energy design and assessment partner for companies working in the residential and commercial design and construction space, with a focus on home compliance.

We collaborate with you to navigate the complex energy compliance landscape and use new technology to drive energy-efficiency gains in homes, before they are built. Redistar are experts at meeting the 7-Star compliance standard and make it easy and cost-effective for you to comply with mandated energy outcomes.

Improving the energy efficiency of homes benefits everyone. It makes compliance approval more cost effective for builders and architects and delivers power bill savings for homeowners over the medium term.
